Mason Clover Motorcycle Accident Mansfield, Ohio: Butler man died in Wednesday crash in Madison Township.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old Butler man was killed on his motorbike on Wednesday after it veered off the left side of Mansfield Lucas Road and crashed in Madison Township.
At 2:02 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Mansfield Lucas Road close to Illinois Avenue.
Mason C. Clover was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide southeast on Mansfield Lucas Road when it veered off the road and down an embankment, according to the patrol’s preliminary investigation.
According to a news statement from the patrol, Clover, who was not wearing a helmet, was declared dead at the spot.
For around two hours, Mansfield Lucas Road was closed while the collision was being investigated.
At the incident, Laurence’s Towing, the Madison Township Fire Department, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department all provided assistance. The accident is still being looked into.
According to Bob Ball, a Richland County coroner’s investigator, an autopsy will be performed on Clover’s body at the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office.
